Obstacle Detection and Anti-Collision Robot Using Ultrasonic Sensor

Obstacle detection can be considered central and paramount in designing mobile robots. This technique enables robots equipped with sensors to transverse maneuver freely an environment preventing damage as a result of collision obstacles its path. Several systems different approaches have been developed for the anti-collision robot obstacles. The approach Sensor selection, path planning, navigation processes determines operation such system differs from one another. paper presents low-cost ultrasonic distance sensor obstacle enhance navigation. is designed C/C++ programming Arduino software (IDE) implemented on ATMega 2560 Microcontroller board. An detects sends data collected controller which directs motor driver stop or move while following visible predefined (blackline) embedded ground detected help IR placed beneath robot. Experimental results varied positions show decent performance scoring 96.4% accuracy at 50cm obstacle.
